Kenya is a great holiday destination and has been a prime safari destination for many years. However, this is a vast country and there are some outlying areas, which are quite rough and remote.

As these areas tend to be less safe than the roads on the general safari circuit, it is recommended that you discuss your itinerary with our Safari2Africa.co.za operators unless you are an experienced traveller familiar with Kenya.

Bear in mind that the equator divides Kenya and conditions, especially in summer, tend to be hot and humid.

If you want to see the Great Migration, it is recommended that you plan your trip for between June and October.

On the Kenya luxury safari, venture deep into the Masai Mara, a reserve that contains the country's highest concentration of big game, including iconic creatures such as lion, wildebeest and elephant.

Meet Maasai warriors and Samburu tribe members and learn about their traditions and skills, inextricably tied to life in the savannah.

The Samburu Game Reserve, home to several rare Northern species, is another must on any Kenya camping safari.
